About this Nominee
UCP of the North Bay’s Gone for Good Adult Development Center is an employment-first program focused on helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build meaningful work experience, independence, self-advocacy, and community participation. Gone for Good partners with local employers to provide California minimum-wage paid work opportunities, along with volunteer experiences, leisure activities, career exploration, job skills training, workplace soft skills, and financial and money-management education. Participants work in a variety of settings, including secure document shredding, thrift store sorting, processing, and recycling, with paid work schedules ranging from 15 minutes to up to four hours per program day based on available work, individual interests, and work readiness. UCP of the North Bay is a certified SourceAmerica partner supporting employment opportunities for individuals with significant disabilities and also provides Individual Supported Employment to assist participants in transitioning to competitive integrated employment.
