About this Nominee
The Suisun City Youth Commission is a grassroots organization dedicated to supporting both Suisun City and the youth attending its schools. Over the years, we have grown into a dynamic collaborator within a network of youth-focused public benefit organizations, working closely together to promote the healthy and sustainable development of our community.
Our commission is rooted in fostering peer-to-peer growth, building positive relationships between youth and adults, and creating meaningful opportunities for personal and collective development. Our mission is simple yet powerful:
"Empowering youth with tools to engage in meaningful discussion that inspires action to grow and enhance knowledge about our Suisun City community and the world."

For 19 years, the Suisun City Youth Commission has proudly stood as a pillar of youth and family services. With your support, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones—most notably growing Juneteenth-Suisun into a flagship celebration that empowers local businesses and instills pride throughout our city and neighboring communities.
Our contributions reach well beyond Juneteenth. We are honored to have played a central role in commemorating Veterans Day Suisun, celebrating Kwanzaa Suisun, hosting Chess Nights at Solano Town Center, leading the Suisun City Town Hall Candidates Forum, and organizing countless events that place youth and families at the heart of all we do.
